A clip of Mark Zuckerberg drinking Guinness on the Cheeky Pint podcast prompted speculation about whether he liked the stout. But the available evidence does not establish that this was his first taste, or that he intends it to be his last.
The Guardian reported on 14 October 2026 that Zuckerberg took a sip during the recording and continued drinking. Its account said he had consumed about half a pint by roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes into the episode. After an apparent break in filming, another full pint was in front of him.
The moment drew attention partly because of how Zuckerberg’s expression appeared in the clip. That reaction is open to interpretation, however, and does not prove what he thought of the beer.
A response to the reaction
The Irish outlet TheJournal.ie also reported on the Guinness clip and Zuckerberg’s podcast appearance. It said that on 13 October he replied to a viral post on X with the words, “That’s just my face.”
His response complicates attempts to read his expression as evidence that he disliked the drink. The reports establish that he drank Guinness during the recording, but they do not settle his opinion of it.
What the podcast transcript confirms
The episode transcript, published on the podcast’s own Substack, has Zuckerberg say he brought a keg of Guinness and thought it was a good occasion to “get the Guinness going.” That confirms the beer was part of the recording, but the transcript does not describe his earlier drinking history or say whether he plans to drink Guinness again.
The podcast discussion concerned Meta’s Muse AI product, according to the Guardian and TheJournal.ie. The available material therefore places the clip within a broader conversation, rather than identifying the tasting as a standalone event.
The limits of the “first and last” question
The wording of the viral question turns an ambiguous facial expression into a story about a first encounter and a possible final one. Neither the transcript nor the corroborating report verifies either claim. The Guardian’s account presents the idea of a first taste as an inference from the scene, not as confirmed information about Zuckerberg’s drinking history.
The original episode video would be the strongest source for checking the sequence and amount shown on camera. Even that footage would not, by itself, establish whether Zuckerberg had tasted Guinness before or would drink it again.
For now, what can be said is narrower: Zuckerberg had Guinness during the podcast recording, and he later dismissed one interpretation of his expression with the reply, “That’s just my face.” Whether the sip was his first, or his last, remains unanswered by the available evidence.
